Prelims Exam (Objective Type)

Paper 1 – General Studies
(200 marks, 2 hours)

Current Affairs, History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science & Tech.

Paper 2 – CSAT
(200 marks, 2 hours)

Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Decision Making.

Mains Exam (Descriptive Type)

Essay Paper
(250 marks, 3 hours)

Candidates must write two essays on given topics.

General Studies – Paper 1 (250 marks, 3 hours)

History, Art & Culture, Geography, Society.

General Studies – Paper 2 (250 marks, 3 hours)

Indian Constitution, Governance, International Relations, Social Justice.

General Studies – Paper 3 (250 marks, 3 hours)

Economy, Environment, Science & Tech, Internal Security, Disaster Management.

General Studies – Paper 4 (250 marks, 3 hours)

Ethics, Governance, Integrity, Case Studies.

Optional Subject –
Paper 1 & Paper 2 (500 marks total, 3 hours each)

Choose from subjects like History, Public Administration, Geography, etc.

Indian Language & English Paper
(300 marks each, 3 hours)

Language proficiency tests (Any Indian Language + English).

Personality Test (Interview Round)

UPSC Interview / Personality Test (275 marks)

Questions on current affairs, situational judgment, leadership, decision-making.
